Job Description

Seeking a Technical Designer to support aerospace design, drafting, materials, and process engineering activities throughout the product lifecycle. This role involves creating and modifying CAD models, supporting production and fabrication operations, resolving product/process issues, and collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply drafting principles and design concepts to support real-time product and process issue resolution within fabrication and production environments
  • Create and modify drafted parts, assemblies, product structures, and engineering models based on engineering input and operational requirements
  • Translate conceptual engineering ideas into detailed physical part geometry and assembly definitions
  • Perform model definition changes using CATIA or equivalent CAD systems
  • Support design improvements and engineering change activities throughout the product lifecycle
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, stress, suppliers, and cross-functional teams to resolve technical challenges
  • Provide materials and process support for electrical, electronic, and electromechanical components used in aerospace products
  • Review engineering specifications, component materials, and process documentation to support product certification and production
  • Analyze non-conformances related to electrical components and support corrective and preventative actions
  • Support engineering lab activities and failure analysis investigations for failed components
  • Evaluate emerging technologies for potential aerospace applications and product improvements
  • Produce engineering requirements, specifications, and technical documentation related to tools, materials, equipment, and processes
  • Support production, operational, and quality concerns in a fast-paced agile environment
  • Work flexible schedules including multiple shifts, overtime, and weekends as required

Required Skills
