Job Summary:

Millennium Engineering is seeking an experienced Aerospace Engineer to work Space Launch, spacecraft design and power systems, and hypersonics, and space energy systems in support of various Millennium customers and projects in a fast-paced, challenging environment.  

Job Description:

Support Millennium engineering projects and customers in the areas of space launch, spacecraft design and power systems, and hypersonics, and space energy systems. This work falls under efforts within Millennium Engineering, Space and Missile Systems. This engineer will provide direct support to government customers as needed to include coordination, monitoring of contractor activities, supporting analyses; requirements identification and execution assessments; and application of processes and standards for component design, development, assembly and system testing, and mission operations. 

Job Responsibilities: 

Provide Systems engineering and technical support to Millennium projects in the areas of space launch, spacecraft design and power systems, hypersonics, and space energy systems. Support of major System Engineering Reviews (e.g. SRRs, PDRs, CDRs). Support Engineering Reviews at Prime and Subcontractors pertaining to system engineering to ensure quality; communicate, and resolve issues. Provide independent evaluations of contractor performed analyses. Form teams in support of stakeholders and monitor efforts to task completion. Represent the interests of the customer in working group forums and in Technical Interchange Meetings. Perform studies and provide findings and recommendations. Communicate and defend plan methodologies, tools, and results of analyses to Leadership. 

Requirements: 

Seeking aerospace engineer with 20+ years’ experience in DoD and Air Force Space programs. Individual should have program director and program manager experience in DoD Space Programs. Ability to provide Space systems engineering support on DoD and NASA, Space Satellite & Launch, and Missile systems, payloads, and components throughout the system engineering life cycle. Capable of performing as a member of a team and assisting with solving complex problems. Capable of providing systems engineering and integration support and advice to senior DoD, Air Force, and NASA leadership. Self-starter with enthusiasm and capacity to learn and share knowledge and insights. Travel as required to support oversight, meetings, reviews, etc. Experience with DARPA is desirable. 

Education:

BS in Physics or related field required, Masters in Astronautical Engineering is highly desired with Program Management Degree from Defense Systems Management College.

Clearance:

Active TS/SCI/TK clearance required.
