Become part of our team as an in-country Structural Design engineer for the KF-X Program. This position is for engineering technical assistance to the KF-X development program. KF-X is a South Korean program to develop an advanced multirole fighter for the Republic of Korea Air Force. This position will report to the Air Vehicle Lead, will be located in Sacheon, South Korea, and will report in-country pending successful visa arrangements.

The KF-X program is seeking a person with extensive Primary and Secondary Structures experience to serve as a primary POC for advising Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) engineers during configuration development.

The successful candidate will provide technical advice (to include training, guidance, support, and development assistance) to KAI engineers and management while guiding concept development through the appropriate application of analysis methodologies, ground test, and flight test to achieve a balanced design solution that meets customer needs.

In addition to strong technical skills the candidate should have a track record of success working in diverse groups where attention to the customer is paramount.

The selected candidate will have high proficiency in Aircraft Structural Design that includes primary and secondary designs, structural internal and external arrangement, and identifying effective load paths while accommodating equipment and systems to include wiring and tubing.

Ensure design meets performance requirements and environmental criteria all while facilitating manufacturing and designing with the maintainer/aircraft sustainment in mind.

In addition to structural design background, the candidate shall have a good working knowledge of related engineering disciplines such as Material & Processes (M&P), Systems and Equipment Installations, and Structural Integrity. Tasks shall include, but not be limited to, providing subject matter guidance, training and mentoring to the customer engineers.

Must be a US Citizen or legally authorized to work in US as a permanent resident. Must be able to relocate internationally.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in an engineering discipline with 7+ years of experience in aircraft structural design.
