Job Title:              Advisors - Global Technical Services (multiple openings)

 

Job Location:      3000 N. Sam Houston Parkway East, Houston, TX 77032

 

Duties:                  Responsibilities include: Providing MWD Formation Pressure Testing operational expertise and generic formation-pressure testing and formation-fluid sampling expertise to both internal and external

audiences;  serving as one of only a few subject matter experts in the product service line; developing case histories for marketing purposes; creating, reviewing, and updating MWD Formation Pressure Testing tool test and operational procedures.Responsible for all internal communications about the MWD Formation Pressure Testing service. Auditing assembly and testing of MWD Formation Pressure Testing tools. Testing new firmware/software versions and hardware modifications. Training less-experienced field engineering personnel to deliver the service. Assisting with the rig site delivery of the MWD Formation Pressure Testing service, whenever needed. Communicating with customers and coworkers. Interpreting Bubble Point data acquired using a MWD Formation Pressure Testing tool. Understanding the phase diagrams of reservoir fluids, petro physical log interpretation, how to estimate the contamination level of a formation fluid sample, based on pump-out time.Troubleshooting the operation of a MWD Formation Pressure Testing tool. Creating technical marketing documents and papers suitable for publication by professional societies. Up to 20% of travel to client rig sites.

 

Requirements:  Requires a Bachelor's Degree (or foreign equivalent) in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or Industrial Engineering, and six (6) years of experience in the job offered or in a related position including experience with each of the following: Must have 6 years of experience with each the following: providing various high-end MWD rig site services, including a strong background in formation-pressure sampling; create clear operational-, maintenance-, and marketing-related documents; and troubleshoot MWD tools; instructing employees and customers about formation pressure and fluid sampling theory and how to best utilize the MWD Formation Pressure Testing tool; analyzing formation pressure data/ fluid samples and generating an analytical report of this analysis; conducting field operations of various MWD (aka LWD) systems and tools and troubleshooting of MWD Formation Pressure Testing tools.
