Position Summary:
The Advisor, Quality Assurance will be responsible for: Providing test support for multiple applications by defining test strategies on functional and automated changes - this will include the review and approval of project SDLC Stage Gates with commit dates defined. Ensuring consistent QA process utilization in all aspects of project oversight (planning, design, implementation, execution, evaluation). Driving input to QA Managers on process improvements, project efficiencies, and program management, and providing solutions based on exploratory investigation. Driving knowledge transfers to ensure system functionality and business domain knowledge is maintained. Contributing as an owner of governance models. Creating and/or recommending new technologies or tools for automating (UFT, Selenium, Hammer, CA Lisa, BPT, Jenkins, Appium). Working with QA Leads, EQLs and Application Developers to quickly capture the major business functions, workflows, and technology underpinnings to be able to design system functionality that exercises all critical inter-system integration points - this includes working with ACOE to define components based on application workflow. Performing all non-management QA and testing tasks, throughout the SDLC (i.e., from pre-project initiation through post-project review and monitoring). Performing comprehensive testing to prevent the introduction of application defects into regression, end-to-end, client, and production environments. Coordinating Advisor forums with other members to build and maintain key functional processes. Reporting, monitoring, and verifying application project defect as necessary. Being accountable for projects of high complexity, high risk, and high visibility; handling multiple projects of varied complexity simultaneously; providing feedback on and suggestions for improving QA procedures to Project Leads and Technical Leads. TCO 362634098v2 Working with Development, DB Administrators and QA teams (Functional/ACOE) to provide quick resolutions, working with CICS, DB2, SPUFI, TOAD, IBM AS/400, CA Lisa, Selenium, UFT, ALM, BPT, Jenkins, SOAP UI and SQL. Providing additional support to mainframe applications to perform back-end executions.


Required Qualifications:
Master's Degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or a closely related field with two years of relevant experience in IT quality assurance, best practices, and SDLC. This position also requires two years of experience with Quality Center/ALM or a similar tracking tool, DB2, backend Mainframe validation, TOAD, SQL, and SOAP. We will accept a Bachelor's degree and five years of experience in lieu of a Master's degree and two years of experience. This position requires domestic travel up to 5% of the year, explicitly for project work. Must apply by 01/06/2018.
