About Products and Advice - Advice Quality Department

The Advice Quality Team focuses on high impact advice, by designing resources, applications, and portfolio capabilities for Financial Advisors, which ultimately, results in better client outcomes. Our goal is to be the best in the industry at helping our clients succeed financially.  We believe the quality of our advice is the differentiator for client success. We strive to make it easy for FAs to deliver quality advice to clients.  This is accomplished by:

  • Asset allocation and market guidance through the Wells Fargo Investment Institute and the Advisory Services Group
  • Portfolio construction and implementation through innovative applications, such as the Envision® Plan to Pie® app
  • Actionable advice & guidance through ResearchCenter and My Homepage
  • Portfolio analysis and rebalancing guidance through the Advice and Portfolio Specialists Desk
  • On-the-ground support with Regional Advice Officers

The Advice Quality Delivery Business Initiatives Consultant III within Wells Fargo Advisors’ Advice Quality division is responsible for supporting the strategic development, program management, implementation, and oversight of the Advice Quality (AQ) strategic roadmap and portfolio of projects.  Workingcollaboratively with the Advice Quality Strategy & Delivery Leader and other senior leaders within the group, as well as other key partners, accountable for driving Advice Quality’s performance to achieve firm objectives.  Develop strategic solutions and manage select programs that achieve Advice Quality’s mission toimprove client experience, lower risk, and drive growth by aligning investments to client goals and risk tolerance. Influence Products & Advice, Innovation & Strategy, Business Channels, TOG and other partners to further the Advice Quality mission; drive business decisions; create thorough, detailed plans to execute against the AQ roadmap; develop plans to identify and mitigate risk; develop metrics and tracking of programs; ensuring adherence to appropriate policies, and manage the Advice Quality Profit & Loss.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the definition and & implementation of programs and strategic initiatives with cross functional business partners
  • Tracks/evaluates performance of programs and initiatives
  • Ensures programs adhere to appropriate policies and regulations
  • Partner with Advice Quality Strategy & Delivery Leader to deliver the infrastructure, technology, and support needed to ensure clients consistently get the right advice based on their needs and support the overall advice quality strategy.
  • Help create the Advice Quality roadmap which will serve as the vehicle for prioritizing investments and measuring improvements in the delivery ofquality advice – this includes technology and portfolio tools such as Plan to Pie, Risk Metrics, Research Center, and others
  • Implement appropriate governance structures for all initiatives and monitor implementation plans for the project portfolio
  • Provide strategic input to Advice Quality solutions
  • Work closely with sales channels and other home office partners to improve products, processes and services and implement strategies to deliver quality advice to WFA clients
  • Champion Advice Quality objectives and supporting projects to ensure appropriate prioritization and investment

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: project management, implementation, or strategic planning

  • A Masters of Business Administration (MBA)
  • Experience building partnerships and consulting effectively with leadership
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to build business cases
  • FINRA registration including Series 7 (or FINRA recognized equivalents)
  • Ability to negotiate, influence, and collaborate to build successful relationships
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Outstanding problem solving and decision making skills
  • Strong project management skills
  • Project Management Professional (PMP)
