Advanced SW Modeling Engineer will be responsible for leading, developing, executing, and validating software in collaboration with Tier I suppliers across multifaceted electronic modules and systems. This includes global integration of vehicle and component functions/features/requirements with linkage to hardware performance and connectivity/cloud systems, actively participate in supplier lead software reviews, drive software issue discovery, root cause analysis, and corrective actions to achieve timing, cost, and investment directives.

Job responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Integration of solid requirements and specifications into software systems
  • Drive software execution along system engineering 'V' model, including active engagement in Tier 1 software reviews
  • Design and release of software in collaboration with Tier I suppliers
  • Generation and execution of DVPR/FMEA for software
  • Oversite and qualifying of automated test scripts, procedures, and software tools Interface and engagement with Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers and other cross functional organizations
  • Deep dive, analysis, root cause, and corrective action of issues
  • Capture of data log
  • Proactive improvements and quality enhancements
  • Integration of electrical architectures and interfaces
  • Implementation of software algorithms Integration of Apple CarPlay/Google Android Auto (for infotainment)
  • Interface and engagement with other cross functional organizations such as interior, mechanics, studio design, electrical architectures
  • Coordination with regional colleagues and experts globally
  • Formulation and assessment using key product indicator metrics
  • Global software integration into vehicle systems and across functional domains
  • Lead software changes and assurance of bug-free function
  • Manufacturing interface with vehicle assembly plant testing tools

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science from an ABET accredited university
  • Minimum 8 years of engineer experience with exposure to clusters, infotainment, connectivity, consumer electronics, unit and integration software testing, mechanical and electrical integration
  • Minimum 1 year of project management experience
  • Minimum 1 year of MATLAB experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master of Science in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science from an ABET accredited university
