Essential Responsibilities: • Lead the test system design/development to include a strong understanding of hardware technologies and software technologies including National Instruments LabVIEW and TestStand• Responsible to work with project stakeholders to generate requirements for system/software• Understand GE product technologies and test processes• Ensure regulatory compliance through rigorous documentation and Qualification. Responsible for ensuring rigor in determining processes requiring validation, development of plans and analysis criteria, execution and final analysis and acceptance.• Responsible for software development lifecycle, leveraging Agile and Lean software development methodologies to drive reliability upstream into the development life cycle• Designing and building strong testing infrastructure to minimize dependency on hardware• Engage in technical discussions; participate in technical designs and present technical ideas, drive design reviews• Monitor and improve productivity through the use of Lean Six Sigma or related tools, while ensuring all customer commitments are timely and cost-conscious and met with quality• Responsible for test coverage, performance and on-time delivery• Influencing cross-functional teams to implement quality actions• Mentoring other team members Qualifications/Requirements: • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) & 4 years’ experience in development of automated test systems.• Demonstrated strong experience using National Instruments Labview and TestStand; minimum of 5 years National Instruments LabView and/or TestStand.• Ability to read and understand electrical and pneumatic circuit schematics.• Understanding of pneumatic systems and fluid measurements. • Demonstrated experience designing and developing automated test systems.• Experience working in cross-functional, project managed, development teams; using shared platforms and concepts Desired Characteristics: Technical Expertise:• Demonstrated experience with hands-on pneumatic fixture build and troubleshooting.• Experience working in regulated industry with rigorous QMS requirements.• Demonstrated strong technical documentation skills; such as BOM, schematics, detailed design documents, qualification protocols, user manuals, etc.• Lean and six sigma certifications.• Experience using the following SW tools: Visio, Solid-Works, MySQL.Business Acumen:• Strong problem solving abilities, capable of articulating specific technical topics or assignments • Experience in building scalable and highly available distributed systems • Excellence in breaking down problems and estimate time for development tasks
