ADOLESCENT MEDICINE PHYSICIAN
The specialty Division of Adolescent Medicine at Children's Mercy Kansas City is growing! We are recruiting a board-certified physician with special interest, training and/or expertise in the evaluation and treatment of adolescents to join their current faculty.
The Division of Adolescent Medicine was established in 1975, and is a mainstay of care in our geographic region. Current providers bring a breadth of experience, from senior faculty to recent fellowship graduates. Our faculty consists of six physicians, seven advanced nurse practitioners, full-time social work support, and dedicated, skilled nurses.
The division includes an Eating Disorders Center which was established in 2007. This dynamic multidisciplinary outpatient treatment team is comprised of clinical psychologists, a child and adolescent psychiatrist, adolescent medicine physicians, an advanced nurse practitioner, nutritionists specializing in eating disorders, a family therapist and a social worker dedicated to family education and outreach. Physicians with interest, experience and expertise in this area will find many clinical, academic, and research opportunities here.
The division provides services to a myriad of community agencies, including a school-based clinic, homeless youth care, and a residential treatment facility. We offer a comprehensive and broad scope of specialty services, which allows a niche for each provider to pursue based on their interest. Wherever your interests take you, whether it is caring for adolescents with eating disorders, reproductive health concerns, substance abuse, gender issues, obesity, behavioral health issues, unintended pregnancy, school or family issues, chronic medical illness, some of each, or something else, you will find a career at Children's Mercy to be rewarding and supportive of your individual career path.
