The Administrative Assistant to the Associate Deans is responsible to work for and assist the Associate Dean for Experiential Learning & Special Programs the Associate Dean for Academic Development the Associate Dean for Diversity and Inclusion and the Associate Dean for Research and Scholarship . The Administrative Assistant will also work with the Executive Assistant to the Dean of the Law Center and support the overall operation of the Deans’ Suite. This position has work hours from Sunday through Thursday.
The Administrative Assistant to the Associate Deans supports the Dean and the Associate Deans. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:Works directly with the Associate Deans on a wide range of administrative tasks
Provides administrative and secretarial support to the Associate Deans including: sorting mail preparing letters for signature printing Westlaw cases answering phones and other tasks as assigned
Provides administrative support on Sundays when the FlexJD Program is in session.
Maintains daily calendars for the Associate Deans including scheduling appointments
Makes arrangements for conferences and travel for the Associate Deans including: registration hotel airline/train/car arrangements reimbursement requests
Maintains records and files for all work performed for the Associate Deans
Understands the Associate Deans’ activities and workload and assists in tracking and making progress on those activities and helps support those activities
Responsible to assist the Executive Assistant to the Dean with ordering office supplies completing requisitions as part of the purchase order system and coordinating catering requests for the Dean’s Suite
Responsible to work with all departments at the Law Center and with the Touro College University Systems when required
Troubleshoots and resolves administrative issues
Ability to edit documents accurately
Performs other duties and completes projects as assigned

PC expertise required
Education Preparation and TrainingBachelor’s Degree preferred
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an executive-level office setting
