Odyssey Systems has an exciting opportunity for a Security Specialist in support of the Nuclear Weapons Acquisition Division, AFNWC/NDB, which is part of the AF Nuclear Weapons Center. This Division has responsibility for developing, testing and producing systems and components related to nuclear strategic weapon systems for our nation's warfighters including the Long-Range Standoff (LRSO) Cruise Missile.

Job Responsibilities:

Duties included but not limited to

  • Support the execution of acquisition program security throughout a program's life cycle.
  • Develop sound security practices and policies regarding acquisition, physical, personnel, and document security.
  • Update security classification guides.
  • Plan and implement security-related surveys, assessments, and studies.
  • Maintain databases that reflect receipt, storage, inventory, and disposition of classified information to include data entry, updates, and generation of reports.
  • Participate in audits of Government classified holdings to ensure proper accountability.
  • Maintain databases of classified visits and clearance levels.
  • Perform inspection, inventory, logging, storage, documentation, transmittal and internal distribution of classified information received.
  • Provide security inspection and protection to areas where classified information is being stored and designing and establishing security procedures and policies.
  • Develop and provide security awareness and other security education programs.
  • Review and verify qualifications for access to special access programs.

Minimum Qualifications

  • AA/AS degree + 10 years of relevant experience or BA/BS degree + 5 years of relevant experience
  • Current Secret Security Clearance (within 6 years) with the ability to gain a Top Secret clearance
  • Effective communication skills both orally and in writing
  • Proficient in MS Office products
  • US Citizen

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Current Top Secret Security Clearance

Additional Information:

  • Position requires infrequent travel (approximately 5%). Must be able to rent/operate rental cars while on travel.
