PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

As an Accounting Manager for this Fortune 100 company, you will be responsible for managing a team of 2-3 Senior Accountants and will oversee multiple business units’ day-to-day functions. In this role, you will perform various general ledger procedures, including month end close, journal entry, account reconciliation review and preparation, variance analysis, and internal reporting.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE

  • Oversee multiple business unit’s day-to-day functions
  • Perform various general ledger procedures
  • Support group deliverables and compliance with external auditors, internal SOX requirements, and internal audit
  • Support multiple business units across multiple locations
  • Drive process improvements across its areas of responsibilities


DESIRED EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  • CPA required
  • 5+ years of experience in public accounting/large company combination
  • 1-2 years of management experience
  • Strong General Ledger accounting experience

  • Provide financial analysis tools to evaluate company ventures or special projects, programs, capital expenditures, products costing, etc.
  • Provide a visionary and leadership implementation role on behalf of Accounting and Human Resources.
  • Prepare monthly Global Cash Flow analysis, P&L’s, Balance Sheets for given companies.
  • Manage the preparation of the official annual report of actual revenues, transfers, and expenses.
  • Recommend benchmarks for measuring the financial and operating performance of divisions and departments.
  • Direct and coordinate debt financing and debt service payments with external agencies.
  • Oversee daily operations of the Accounting / finance department.
  • Establish and implement short- and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures.


DESIRED EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree- Master’s Degree preferred
  • Active CPA License
  • 5+ years of related experience and/or training
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and QuickBooks
