Job Description

Location Profile: The Noranco Deer Valley and Jet Processing facilities were recently acquired by PCC and provide high precision machined and fabricated components to the commercial and aerospace industry along with anodizing, passivation and other surface treatments. Aircraft platforms currently include the Boeing 737, Airbus A360, Lockheed Martin F-35 and Gulfstream E650. Combined annual sales revenue is in excess of $40 million.

Position Summary:

The Accounting Manager assists the Controller in all financial aspects of the business and must ensure compliance with all PCC Corporate Policies and Procedures, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements. Reporting Relationships: The Accounting Manager reports directly to the Controller.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

• Preparation of daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly financial reports and statements

• Analysis of variances to budget and forecast

• Balance sheet analysis

• Cash forecasting and bank reconciliations

• Inter-company reporting and balancing

• Manage AP clerk and the AP processes

• Manage Accounting Assistants and the AR Process

• Cost Accounting – analysis of variances, BOM review, inventory analysis • Management of Capital Spending processes

• SOX audit and internal audit preparation

• Creates bi-weekly payroll journal entries and reconciliations of payroll summary charges

• Performs the month-end closing, journal entries, updates and/or creates supporting schedules, accounts review and reconciliation, shipment reconciliation and general reports

• Performs inventory and reserve analysis on a monthly basis

• Preparation of City, State, and Federal Tax filings

• Submission of the trial balance at month end to the Division team

• Closely work with Operations personnel to proactively evaluate manufacturing performance and provide meaningful recommendations for improvements

• Reporting of PCC Toolbox measurements

• Preparation of FQR schedules

• In collaboration with Operations, oversees data entry and audit of annual physical inventory and works with external auditors related to this activity

• Supports and works with Internal and External Auditors

• Work on special projects, implementations and report preparation as requested

Required Skills:

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

• Hands on experience in a fully integrated ERP operating system

• Solid Accounting skills and US GAAP knowledge

• Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statement and projections

• Effective organizational skills with the ability to manage a large number of tasks and responsibilities

• Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced and growing environment

• Effective, clear, and precise communication skills

• Superior problem solving skills Level of Education and Experience

• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in an intermediate accounting role, preferably in a manufacturing environment with an advanced ERP system

• Bachelor degree in Accounting

• MBA or CPA preferred

• Ability to work with other functions; team player with excellent interpersonal skills

• Ability to adapt to changing business requirements and grasp new ideas

• Understanding of financial compliance: SOX, GAAP

• Ability to manage multiple projects / initiatives in fast-paced environment, meet deadlines, and challenge status quo.
