The Accounting Manager will be a key contributor throughout the accounting and finance organization and will help oversee day to day accounting processes as Natera continues to grow. This is a highly visible role and will collaborate on a diverse set of duties and responsibilities with all phases of the Company and management.
Own several aspects of the monthly and quarterly financial statement close process through the preparation and/or review of work papers, journal entries, and certain dedicated account reconciliations;
Research, resolve, and operationalize the accounting approach for routine and non-routine transactions as well as establish and document standard operating procedures;
Monitor daily accounting operations activities to ensure compliance with current procedures and desired best practices;
Maintain contemporaneous audit and SOX documentation to support core accounting activities and liaise directly with external and internal auditors during scheduled reviews;
Evaluate available accounting tools and templates and execute on enhancements related to automation, close timing, and improving accuracy;
Manage and provide status and reporting on both ad-hoc and recurring accounting and finance projects;
Assist with accounting administration and corporate compliance tasks as they arise.
Bachelor’s or equivalent degree in Accounting and/or Finance;
CPA or similar professional designation preferred;
Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting and finance operations experience and relevant work experience;
Functional comprehension of US generally accepted accounting principles and current accounting standards;
Project management experience and demonstrated ability to collaborate across different business units and functions;
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both written and verbally, with all layers of staff, management, and external parties as necessar

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Duties typically performed in an office setting.
This position requires the ability to use a computer keyboard, communicate over the telephone and read printed material.
Duties may require working outside normal working hours (evenings & weekends) at times.
Remote position may be considered based on experience and qualifications.
