Responsible for developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements.
Assists in ERP implementation, and its integration with proprietary operating system.
Is involved in validating/designing accounting system suggested changes to ensure accounting requirements continue to be met.
Addresses tight deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities including general ledger preparation, financial reporting, year-end audit preparation, and the support of budget and forecast activities.
Ensures an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year end close.
Reviews, investigates, and corrects errors and inconsistencies in financial entries and reports.
Prepares journal entries that provide the basis for accurate financial statements.
Assists in the development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the department.
Responsible for maintaining monthly account reconciliations and other documents to ensure compliance.
Coordinates work related to both internal and external audits in the periodic review of the financial records.
Assist with various projects and accounting matters as assigned byController, to drive value through financial analyses.
Collaborates with Controller on special projects and process improvements.
Skills and Experience Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accountingrequired; MBA or MAcc preferred.
Proficiency in excel required.
5-7 years of experience in accounting.
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
Exceptional analytical skills, financial acumen, and strong problem-solving abilities.
