Manager of Accounting Shared Services .
Position Overview: The Manager of Shared Services – Accounting is a key member of the Financial Management team and works for the CFO of this hospital organization. This position is responsible for transactional accounting related to Vendor Payments and Payroll Services, budget process , and reporting of key accounting numbers. This position also has responsibility for supporting the CFO , managing a large team and providing client support.
* Manages global team of shared service center employees, some as direct reports and some as functional reports around the support of the accounting process and sub-ledger.
* Must have Payroll and AP / vendors payment leadership experience.
* Designs, develops, delivers and maintains vendor and other payable payments and related accounting process and governance for the system and process.
*Works withinternal resources and external vendors to ensure technology meet the needs of the shared services function and supports accounting needs.
* Also, manages the relationship with external vendors. Identifies training needs within the accounting function to ensure all are trained and aware of the processes and tools that are in place to support payables and payroll.
*Ensures on-going training on the tools and process is updated and ready and that changes to the tools are communicated as needed.
*Stays abreast of IRS, FASB and GAAP as it pertains to taxes and accounting. Completes and provides data extracts from various financial systems to supportIRSaudits.
Qualifications Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Information Technology from an accredited institution is required.
Minimum five years’ experience in Accounting, Finance or related experience.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
Preferred Qualifications: Strong Technology skills and understanding of deploying to end users. Understanding of communication methodologies and application methodologies. Team leadership/building skills, leveraging resources, building organizational capability, and time management.
