Job Description

The Accounting Coordinator is responsible for performing a variety of duties related to the functions of accounting, including A/P coding and processing, creating purchase orders for all contractual commitments, monthly tenant billing, and annual CAM reconciliations. This role will also review and analyze monthly financial statements and provide variance reports for management.

  • Coding and processing of all department and third-party invoices and construction pay applications
  • Create purchase orders; track, and reconcile all contractual commitments
  • Billing, collection and monthly reconciliation of tenant accounts and other revenue (including, but not limited to, fees, rebates, etc.)
  • Assist with completion of month-end and year-end closing journal entries and intercompany transactions for financial reporting
  • Analyze monthly operating statements and prepare variance reports for management
  • Prepare annual department budgets and regular updates to management
  • Prepare annual CAM reconciliations for tenant accounts
  • Ability to effectively communicate with department staff, campus clients, property tenants, vendors and service providers
  • Special projects and other duties as assigned

Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 5+ years of experience in accounting, job cost accounting, and/or similar financial responsibilities
