ROLE of the POSITION
The UNLV Lee Business School seeks applications for the position of Lee Professor of Accounting at the experienced Assistant or Associate Professor levels. The successful candidate must have a Ph.D. in Accounting from an AACSB accredited college or university completed, exhibit the ability to publish in top quality accounting journals, and demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching in a collegial work environment. Candidates with research and teaching interests in accounting information systems and data analytics are encouraged to apply. Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA, CISA, CIA) is strongly preferred.
In 2012, the Lee Family pledged a $15 million naming gift for the Lee Business School. Part of that gift includes the endowment of ten Lee Scholar professorships across the Lee Business School. In addition to teaching, scholarship, and outreach, we anticipate Lee Professors will play an active role in coordinate curriculum across the Lee Business School and help develop our online education and executive education offerings.
This position requires a PhD in Accounting from an AACSB accredited college or university and qualifications consistent with classification as a Scholarly Academic within UNLV Lee Business School guidelines. Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA, CISA, CIA) is strongly preferred.
Salary competitive with those at similarly situated institutions. Position is contingent upon funding.
