The Account Manager owns and is responsible for the daily management, client retention and optimization of the marketing campaigns for their assigned accounts. Account Managers support large, multiple location accounts, work alongside an executive or director level team member on large accounts, and lead and manage smaller budget or single location accounts on their own. The account manager is a utility player of the client services team.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage the client accounts you are assigned, in support of executive or director level team member.
  • Collaborate with executive/director team member on new strategy and budget recommendations
  • Efficiently execute budget and strategy when delivered from AD or executive team member
  • Clearly communicate and collaborate with executive/director team member in which you are managing the daily responsibilities of their accounts.

  • Responsible for execution and completion of all Budgets and Decks
  • Manage marketing activities through the month, checking that hours and budget stay on point.
  • Maintain responsibility and ownership of all deliverables for your accounts
  • Maintain a high level of organization to effectively handle large budget multi-faceted accounts along with your own accounts.
  • Optimize current services internally, to increase performance and revenue
  • Build and retain client relationships
  • Timely response to all client communications
  • Quickly and accurately relay client change orders to internal agency teams.
  • Strategic development
  • Collaborate with the executive/director team member on the client strategy
  • Present new ideas and digest analytics when creating the monthly deck
  • Ability to understand and speak to data and results to support the strategy
  • Ensure that all marketing activities are communicated clearly to the creative, media and digital marketing teams.
  • Provide creative and digital direction
  • Ensure integration of the message across all marketing channels
  • Plan appropriately to allow teams to meet deadlines
  • Manage client expectations on deliverables.
  • Check and approve that campaigns running to confirm consistency, messaging and branding
  • Ensures prompt collection of accounts receivable in collaboration with executive team
  • Keeps appraised of clients' brands/products/services/marketing developments.
  • Stay up to date with new marketing trends and services within the agency and industry
  • All other duties Assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's Degree and five years of professional account management experience.
  • Highly proficient use of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Understanding and experience using project management systems to communicate work requests (i.e. Basecamp, Jira, Workfront, Microsoft Project, etc.)
  • Advertising agency experience a plus
  • Advertising, marketing or project management experience
  • Willingness to travel upon request
