What You'll Do

We have an exciting Account Manager position open on the Cisco Sprint Account Team! In this role you will call on Sprint IT technology owners and decision makers in a high-reaching market segment. Sprint is one of Cisco’s largest Service Provider accounts with key opportunities in many of the industry’s most exciting technology areas: Next Generation IP, Software Defined Networking, Cloud Virtualization, and Automation.

You will be part of a team selling across Sprint’s IT Organization. Your specific responsibilities will include the creation and execution of a Sales Plan that includes:

  • Develop strategic relationships with Customer
  • Build and execute Account Plan to manage and grow business
  • Hunt net new opportunity
  • developing Unique Value Propositions & Cisco/Sprint Differentiation in the marketplace
  • understanding Sprint’s Sales & Operational Processes that will maximize the Internal consumption of Cisco solutions, and
  • building trust, credibility & relevance with Sprint’s sales teams to increase the number of active Sprint sellers of Cisco solutions utilizing Cisco programs, training and support services

Who You'll Work With

This position reports to a Regional Manager for Sprint in the Global Service Provider Americas Organization and will work with some of the most experienced sales and engineering leaders across the SP business. The role requires the ability to collaborate and engage with Sales and Engineering leaders across various internal and external organizations, along with close collaboration with BUs, Finance, and key partners.

Who You Are

5+ years of experience in in prospecting, replacing an incumbent, and protecting the Cisco installed base. Proven track record of success managing a large named account, demand generation, strategic account planning, forecasting, quota attainment, communicating business transformational solutions via sales presentations, short-term, mid-term, and long-term opportunity management. Strong technical and business knowledge with complimentary skills to understand the customers’ business drivers and align to Cisco solution. Demonstrate the necessary skills to negotiate issues with peers, partners and customers using a Win/Win philosophy. Must be a bold self-starter with ability articulate Cisco product and business strategies, and create the demand to close deals. Experience selling SDN/Data Center/Virtualization/Servers Solutions and knowledge of the customer base preferred.

Our minimum requirements for this role:

  • 5+ years experience selling in areas such as data center, networking, contact center/call center and/or Enterprise applications.
  • Prior success developing and executing account strategies for revenue growth
  • Experience selling to tier 1 Service Providers
  • Self-starter, respectful negotiator and strong closer with multi-tasking ability.
  • Extraordinary presentation skills with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to persuade -- using simple communications that convey complex concepts in a compelling, concise, and creative way
  • Ability to travel 25% +
