Be responsible for all aspects of the Sales Process and Account Management including proposals, RFQ responses, and coordinating all Sales related activities resulting in on-time product launch. Interface directly with the planning, purchasing and program management functions within the internal and customer organization. The Sales Account Manager works closely with the customer to ensure sales forecasts and budgets are achieved. Maintain and expands sales to Customer by cultivating a strong supplier / customer relationship.
-Exerts maximum effort to achieve maximum sales for Customer Business.
-Interfaces with the customer to clearly understand the overall project objectives and requirements. Communicates and shares information to related departments internally as needed to ensure proper support is provided.
-Supports development of the short-term sales plans (1-12months) and provides reports on sales activities/results each month.
-Supports Sales Manager in preparing and implementing mid-term sales plan. This includes conducting analysis of the differences between budget and latest forecast. Determine the logical cause of variation and report to manager and above.
-Support Sales department activities related to Annual Price Review which includes data preparation and management, customer negotiations, RFQ entry, and PO maintenance.
-Manage the RFQ process, and ensure that accurate, complete quotations are submitted on time. This includes internal quotation requests. Requires coordination with internal departments as well as overseas parent company counterpart(s).
-Lead activities to resolve any customer invoicing or billing issues. Includes cost recovery activities for tooling, engineering changes, packaging costs, obsolescence, special activities, etc.
-Support Sales Operations Analyst with DSP (Direct Supply Parts) process and Weekly Forecast Integration process. Help to ensure accurate and relevant data is being provided in a timely manner to support on-time-delivery, inventory efficiency, and quality. (Some negotiations internally and externally may be required at times.)
-Contacts customers on a regular basis to maintain account relationship, advise of new product and service offerings, and obtain feedback on products.
-Manage “build-out” and “end of life” timing with customer and internal departments in order to make necessary production/inventory adjustments.
-Serves as main contact for all Pre-Production and prototype coordination (pricing, parts deliveries, purchase orders etc.).
-Works Cross functionally with otherinternal groups such as Engineering, Quality, Purchasing, etc. to expedite the resolution of customer problems/complaints, capturing engineering change points, etc.
-Serves as a liaison between the customer and company control/manufacturing department(s) to help resolve abnormal issues as they may arise. This includes but is not limited to delivery concerns, sharp fluctuations in orders/forecast, etc.
-Supports preparation of and conducts technical/product presentations and demonstrations in coordination with Advanced Product Planning and Engineering Depts.
-Participates in trade shows by representing the organization and sharing information on products.
-Provides feedback to marketing and product engineering teams for future product enhancements.
-Must have clear understanding of customer systems, processes, objectives, and requirements. Serve as lead Sales interface between internal cross functional team(s) and external customers when working to share information or resolve open matters throughout all phases of product life cycle (plan, design, integrate, install, manage).
-As applicable, maintains customer websites.
-Supports Sales related QMS and JSOX compliance efforts.
-Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Electronics Engineering, Business Administration or Related Field.
-OEM sales/Account Management experience, preferably in Audio Systems and/or Vehicle Electronics.
Level 1 (Entry)
-Knowledge: Learns to use professional concepts. Applies company policies and procedures to resolve routine issues.
-Job Complexity: Works on problems of limited scope. Follows standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained. Contact with others is primarily internal.
-Supervision: Normally receives detailed instructions on all work.
-Experience/Education: Typically requires 0-2 years of previous professional experience.
Level 2 (Developing)
-Knowledge: Uses professional concepts; applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues.
-Job Complexity: Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action. Has internal and some external contacts.
-Supervision: Normally receives general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new projects or assignments.
-Experience/Education: Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience.
Level 3 (Career)
-Knowledge: Uses skills as a seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of industry practices and company policies and procedures; resolves a wide range of issues in imaginative as well as practical ways. This job is the fully qualified, career-oriented, journey-level position.
-Job Complexity: Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Interacts with senior internal and external personnel.
-Supervision: Normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work, general instructions on new assignments.
-Experience/Education: Typically requires a Master’s Degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience or Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 5 years of related experience.
-Must possess excellent communication skills (Verbal & Written).
-Japanese language skill is a plus, but not a requirement.
-PC Literacy with using software such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.
-Must have the ability to navigate customer specific portals to gather key information, submit quotations, etc.
-Must be capable of working as an active member of a cross functional team.
-Must be capable of working independently with minimal supervision while managing time efficiently to prioritize multiple deadlines and customer requests simultaneously.
-Must be enthusiastic and willing to accept challenges, but recognize when to ask questions.
-Must have the capability to understand, define, and communicate customer business process to internal teams to ensure proper support is provided.
