NETSCOUT is seeking a hands-on Western Region Sales Manager to lead all regional sales for the Netscout Test Optimization business unit that is poised for growth. The ideal candidate will be a passionate, hands-on sales leader that enjoys building a business and wearing multiple hats. They must have proven success managing a sales region to grow the top and bottom line significantly. This person must also be fully capable of carrying a quota and closing business of their own. They must also have experience and more importantly proven success leading sales efforts both within a large organization as well as a startup company since this role will require both skill sets. This person must be able to demonstrate the ability to think tactically and meet the numbers and also think strategically on how to grow the business for the future. The ideal candidate will have experience in locating net-new customers as well as growing revenue within existing accounts. Finally they must have proven recent success managing the sales cycle from end to end including all back end operations and lead generation.

The product area is in Test Lab Products targeted at Test Automation and Network component verification in environments housing applications in banking, cloud services, big data, service provider, media, federal applications, network equipment manufacturers and cybersecurity to name a few.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years combined recent experience selling Enterprise Class IT networking systems software and hardware products
  • Minimum of 5 years recent experience as a sale leader within Enterprise or Service Provider class IT products with a proven record of success with a global organization and a track record of driving significant growth
  • Minimum of 5 years recent experience selling L2-7 network test product
  • Strong overall knowledge of opportunity management, forecasting and key account selling and all of the back end sales operations.
  • Proven history of building direct sales and channel sales organizations for a global organization
  • Proven ability to navigate cross-functionally in a large organization
  • Proven history of a ‘can do’ attitude resulting in significant sales growth
  • Proven sales leadership success in a start-up company start-up business unit environment
  • B.S. or M.S. Degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering or other equivalent degree

Additional Desirable Attributes

  • Detailed knowledge of networking protocols including but to limited to IP, VOIP, IMS, SIP add more
  • Experience selling into the Federal sector
