The Role in Brief:
The Client Data Account Manager manages client data relationships and a portfolio of higher education clients.  Client Data Account Managers orchestrate the transformation and integration of client data into high-quality client information assets and ensure client satisfaction and engagement throughout the client data implementation life cycle. This position works directly with the client to gather data/information requirements and with the internal account teams and client data specialists to define the standards and rules to ensure data is extracted, transferred and loaded into our systems for downstream marketing campaign execution, monitoring, analysis, reporting and decision-making.  

Specific Responsibilities:
- Partner with clients to understand their business objectives, gather and interpret data/information requirements and work with internal account teams and client data specialists to define standards and rules
- Document all client file data specifications and assist to maintain information regarding client data schedules and systems
- Help guide and set internal account team expectations regarding data needs and turn-around times
- Participate in business efforts to develop practices and processes to collect, standardize, sustain and continuously improve the quality of client data to support company and client programs and initiatives
- Execute required data tasks using SQL, JavaScript or MongoDB to support internal production processes, standardize client data and create client data files
- Ensure client data is accurately transformed and compliant with defined standards and rules
- Assist in resolving data discrepancies; coordinate and communicate data issue resolution with clients and internal parties
- Facilitate client calls, in-person meetings, etc., to build effective relationships
- Mentor and support other client data stewards
- Perform other related responsibilities as assigned

Basic Qualifications:
- Experience communicating and collaborating with clients, client support and technical communities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel and Access
- 6 years' combined education and relevant work experience or 6 years' relevant work experience
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with accelerating priorities

- Basic skills in the following languages:  SQL, JavaScript and/or MongoDB
- Accurate with attention to detail and ability to review files of various types (Access, Excel, fixed format, etc.)
- Bachelor's degree in a related field with 2 years' relevant work experience
- Proven work ethic and commitment to continuous improvement
- Passion to learn new things about the business, systems and data and apply learnings resourcefully
- Experience working in client management, project management, and/or data management
