General Purpose:

The Account Executive is responsible for retention and a yearly targeted revenue growth for approximately 100-150 assigned WEX Fleet customers in the mid-market.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

The Account Executive identifies full economic potential for each relationship in the portfolio; mines additional opportunities to drive revenue through cross sell.

The Account Executive will be required to partner with other WEX programs such as WEX Virtual, WEX Telematics, WEX Fleetone and Total Fuel Management to achieve cross sell revenue.

Additionally the Account Executive performs account retention by presenting cost savings measures to promote WEX Value vs Competition; negotiates new contracts, handles new RFP’s; develops high level relationships within each account to secure business and collaborates effectively with internal WEX support personnel to serve customers.


Minimum Required Qualifications for Consideration:

3-5 years of strategic sales experience

Demonstrated consistent quota performance in a business-to-business sales environment

Demonstrated ability to sell against the competition

Experienced in managing diverse & extensive customer base

Experience prospecting, cold calling and meeting with C-Levels

Must effectively schedule time to ensure excellent portfolio organization and management

Strong organizational and PC skills

Must be able to pass a successful background investigation

Preferred Qualifications:

Ability to advance opportunities through the sales cycle

Strong forecasting and pipeline management skills – will be required to maintain a customer database on designated software (Salesforce)

Experience in conducting customer meetings in WebEx or Online format

Commitment to teamwork within the sales organization

Goal-focused, creative, flexible and adaptable to new situations
