Job Description

This Account Executive, Storage position based in Dallas, Phoenix or Southern California focuses on new customer sales and drives revenue of Curvature storage products & services for the Southwest US. We are looking for an ambitious sales professional and leader to be part of a fast-growing company that rewards self-direction, celebrates innovation, and bends the trajectory of an industry in favor of our clients. This role will focus primarily on new business development within Mid-market and Enterprise organizations.


  • Prospect, identify and build relationships with potential new clients and key decision makers
  • Manage sales process through prospecting, lead qualification, forecasting, resource allocation, account strategy and planning
  • Build an action plan, develop goals, strategies, tactics and timelines
  • Consult with clients and prepare proposals and quotes based on their needs
  • Maintain knowledge of the storage market and competitors
  • Clearly and effectively articulate compelling value propositions and solutions for Curvature’s storage products to meet client requirements
  • Effectively demonstrate value proposition in person, on conference calls or using screen share technology
  • Manage complex sales-cycles utilizing Salesforce
  • Develop relationships with account managers to increase channelpartnerships


  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in an IT sales role with a strong focus on storage products & services including demonstrated experience in consultative, enterprise-wide solution selling with ability to build and present innovative and creative product offerings to targeted prospects including senior executives and technology teams
  • Consistent history of achieving and exceeding sales goals for the last 3 years


  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field such as Business, Marketing, Finance or IT
  • Demonstrated new business sales expertise in the IT storage market with proven results
  • Excellent negotiation and consultation skills including ability to overcome objections and close complex, large-scale deals, both directly and working in collaboration with key channel partners
  • Ability to identify and target the decision-maker within a prospect and listen, ask questions, solve problems, and close deals
  • Independent and self-motivated with the ability to work remotely and independently while achieving results
  • Strong business acumen & consultative approach to sales
  • Demonstrated experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and order management systems such as SalesForce and Oracle to manage sales process
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build customer relationships
  • Ability to work and promote a positive team environment
  • Results-oriented individual with the ability to multi-task and remain calm in a fast pace environment
  • Ability to respond to rapid change, perform duties with accuracy and with a strong degree of urgency
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to solve problems and meet deadlines
