Job Description

This position will be working on Wrangler Emerging Business, specifically in Mid Tier channels serving as the primary account contact and relationship manager driving results through understanding of the current business environment and monitoring opportunities in the market to stay ahead of trends while supporting all account and VF needs and requirements. Establish control-related standards and procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Works closely with the Director, Sales – Emerging Accounts to strategically develop and grow assigned accounts, driving company initiatives and key account management
  • Coordinate and prepare seasonal apparel presentations
  • Analyze sales data, both overall and specific market share, looking for both growth and missed opportunities
  • Develop strong, effective internal and external relationships which identify opportunities to grow our business with current and emerging accounts
  • Sells, negotiates, and communicates Brand strategies and initiatives
  • Develops and implements sales planning and forecasting
  • Provides direction to cross-functional areas throughout the company
  • Coordinates category management, RFSM, replenishment and sales planning strategies with designated personnel
  • Maintains and provides detailed knowledge of the industry and competitive environment
  • Manages inventory levels, internal and external, in conjunction with Replenishment team to achieve targeted sales, turnover and in stock percentage goals
  • Directs, develops and negotiates join business plan and collaborative forecasting

Requirements:

  • Minimum BS/BA degree
  • 3-5 years in key account sales position or retail corporate buying experience
  • Working knowledge of national apparel competitive landscape
  • Innovative and entrepreneurial approach to business
  • Experience working with mid tier accounts a plus
  • Strong communication & presentation skills
  • Strong computer skills
  • Strong analytical skills and overall business acumen
  • Working knowledge of retail industry
  • Ability to work internally with cross functional areas

Special Physical and/or Mental Requirements:

  • Frequent travel
  • Ability to work in high stress situations
