Brief Summary of Role

Appirio works with companies to address key challenges through the implementation of technology enabled business solutions. This sales position is responsible for sourcing, qualifying, solutioning and closing business with new and existing clients.

Responsibilities

  • Meet, and exceed, individual services booking and revenue quotas

  • Accurately forecast monthly bookings and revenue

  • Actively hunt and pursue new business opportunities in large enterprise financial services accounts--banking, capital markets, insurance and wealth

  • Initiate and nurture trusted relationships with technology partners--primarily Salesforce

  • Develop relationships within the broader Wipro family of selling, account management and delivery teams

  • Network within the industry, market, and accounts to gather intel and evangelize the Appirio brand

  • Identify/develop key account strategies for specific customers and market segments

  • Communicate clearly and effectively across all channels and audiences

  • Quickly grasp client business and technical requirements and fit consulting solutions around those specific needs

  • Develop increasing levels of understanding of key banking, insurance and capital markets business models and go-to-market strategies for sales and servicing

  • Manage all phases of the sales cycles to successful deal closure (including proposal development, implementation estimating, scope construction, and client presentations)

  • Add industry specific and technology solution expertise to the sales process

  • Maintain and nurture deep client relationships to drive additional business

Education and Required Experience (Requirements)

  • BA/BS or equivalent; MBA is a plus; or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • 5-7 years experience working for a solutions consulting organization

  • Proven track record of repeatedly meeting/exceeding individual sales quota

  • Experience and deep understanding of enterprise cloud solutions

  • Experience closing complex sales at Fortune 1000 companies

  • Drive and motivation to work independently

  • Experience and aptitude to build pursuit teams through influence

  • Experience crafting and executing close plans for complex consulting engagements

  • This is a direct sales role. Superior communication skills (both for internal and external clients), very strong leadership qualities, and team oriented business values are essential.
