The Northwest Region Business Development team is seeking an experienced Account Executive in the Denver, CO area.

We manage endorsed programs with leading national and state medical and specialty societies serving 250,000 members. We are prominent at industry events and maximize our visibility with agents and members. And we seize opportunities to promote The Doctors Company in innovative ways.

Business Development Account Executive
Key Result Areas
a. Networks to create new business opportunities
b. Builds relationships with targeted prospects
c. Builds relationships with third party influencers to gain access to new business opportunities
d. Creates a strong digital social network
e. Creates and executes targeted campaigns
f. Engages in campaign management and tracking
New Business Production
a. Obtains information needed to recommend appropriate coverage
b. Identifies exposures/opportunities and presents coverage options to decision maker
c. Sets servicing/relationship expectations with Member
d. Sells additional insurance policies to existing accounts as outlined above
a. Nurtures relationship with decision makers
b. Collaborates with team to set expectations and manage placement and renewal process
c. Collaborates with team to package information to obtain favorable terms
d. Presents terms to client
e. Coordinates renewal sales process
a. Maximizes performance while upholding and encouraging behaviors consistent with TDC’s mission & values.
b. Communicates company values, beliefs and norms to team members and regional leadership on an ongoing basis.
c. Serves as a role model for company values.
Education & Development
a. Strives to improve healthcare industry knowledge and product knowledge
b. Works to improve knowledge of and presentation skills for TDCIS services
c. Works to improve sales and customer relationship skills.
Miscellaneous – Other Duties to Be Assigned
a. Other duties as needed in pursuit of TDC’s Mission and strategy
b. Participates in product initiatives and sales programs
a. Represents TDC at conferences and industry meetings to build networks and create new business opportunities
b. Represents TDC at business development opportunities with prospective clients, clients and third party influencers
EDUCATION (AND/OR EQUIVALENT EXPERIENCE) REQUIRED:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred.
LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Property & casualty license. Surplus Lines license.
continue Education to maintain license requirements and continue toward Business Administration degree.
Minimum five (5) years of insurance industry employment.
Five (5) years in agency operations, insurance prospecting sales, and client service.
Three to five (3-5) years of experience in medical professional liability field.
