This sales role will be based in our Chicago, IL office located in the heart of the River North area.

  • Drive sales numbers/revenue by identifying new prospects
    • Conduct Quality Business Reviews for top customers
    • Engage and conduct both existing customer and prospect presentations
  • Demonstrate knowledge of Aeris’ entire product line, with a focus on our IoT Connectivity Solutions
  • Stay on top of industry and market trends to identify potential customers and revenue generating opportunities
  • Work with sales leaders and legal on price negotiations and contract creation
  • Manage sales pipeline and track all changes and updates for all business contacts in CRM
  • Generate sales reports each week with accurate forecasting of new sales growth and existing base revenue on a quarterly basis
  • Job will require 30-50% travel, dependent on prospect and customer and business needs
    • Attend industry trade shows to accumulate new leads and make productive contact with existing clients
    • Visit perspective customers to educate them on Aeris products and do presentations and live demos
    • Visit existing customers to maintain and grow their business.

Qualifications and Competencies:

  • 5+ years of direct B2B strategic sales experience in the Enterprise Market space
    • At least 3 years of experience in the wireless telecom space
    • Minimum of 1 year of experience in M2M / IoT sales
  • Experience working for an MNO or MVNO or a M2M reseller will be highly desirable
  • Experience in developing commercial value propositions
  • Experience in writing proposals, developing presentations and presenting to clients
  • Experience in using a CRM tool to provide regular management reports is highly desirable
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving and presentation skills are a must
  • Membership of any industry related forum relevant to M2M is highly desirable
  • Experience in selling to Utilities, Fleet / Asset Tracking, Transport or Healthcare clients is highly desirable
  • Previous participation as a presenter or a panel member in any M2M related events
  • Must be self-motivated and comfortable working with little to no direction
