What you’ll do:

Reporting to the VP of Advertising, you’ll be responsible for selling Sorenson Media to the advanced TV marketplace. Given Sorenson Media’s technology, the target will be focused on the addressable agencies looking to target and measure media beyond a GRP (Gross Rating Point). Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Leverage existing relationships at advanced TV agencies
  • Articulately relay Sorenson Media’s value proposition in the marketplace
  • Perform cold-contacts with sources and networks
  • Quickly assess the needs of a client
  • Collaborate with client formulating successful campaigns generating ROI for the client and revenue for Sorenson Media
  • Manage and own a relationship-based, consultative sales cycle
  • Act as account manager once the agreements are closed
  • Manage sales pipeline via SFDC
  • Develop monthly and quarterly plans detailing both new business/prospecting and growing current business to achieve performance metrics
  • Prepare presentations and sales proposals
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with advertisers
  • Formulate targeted strategies and implement them with clients
  • Developing new methods of reaching clients – this is a new product and we’re in search of a new mind
  • Otherresponsibilities as required (we’re a small company – we all pitch in and get things done!)

What we’re looking for:

We are looking for a talented advanced TV sales executive to help lead Sorenson Media’s addressable sales efforts. We are bringing a unique approach to the market leveraging smart TVs to deliver ads in real time. This opportunity will appeal to those excited about disrupting the traditional and doing something different in the television space. The right fit will have:

  • 4+ years in advanced TV
  • Existing advanced TV agency relationships
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Ability to tell compelling stories via PowerPoint and presentation
  • Strengths in educating others – our product is a world first!
  • Proficient sales/business development acumen
  • Experience in an advanced TV/addressable sales environment
  • Ability to cultivate and extend relationships across agencies and brands
  • Understanding of data both on the targeting and measurement sides
  • Attention to detail and organization
  • Time management and the ability to juggle competing client needs
  • Positive attitude, friendly demeanor and team player
  • Flexibility to work in a rapidly changing environment
