Account Exec - Infrastructure/Networking/Cloud/Storage Sales * Alabama
Our client is a well-established mid-sized IT Infrastructure Services/Solutions provider seeking experienced Account Executives with hardware/software sales background handling complex servers, storage, networking and service functions in providing reseller support. Account execs will have a 'territory'/geographic responsibility across all industry/product verticals * in this case, the territory will be the state of Alabama. Background in products from firms such as IBM, EMC, Cisco, NetApp, Infinidat, Actifio, Citrix, VMWare, PaloAlto, PureStorage, RedHat, VisionSolutions, Predatar, Varonis, Arxscan, F5, Commvault, Nutanix, Connectria, Turbonomic and similar products will be of interest to our client. The firm is also interested in individuals who 'specialize' in Cisco sales. Experience in on-premisis hardware/software is ideal, but exposure to migration to the Cloud, SaaS, etc. is of keen interest. You will own and nurture the relationships, building and executing the sales strategy. Your success will reflect in sales achievements, long term client relationships and satisfaction. Top sales individuals with this firm are making $500-$1M, working on a highly-leveraged. The company is willing to bring aboard individuals on a 'salary + bonus/commission' initially to allow them to develop a pipeline. Generally account execs opt to move to a commission-only structure to maximize their compensation. This individual may be located in any major city in Alabama.
In this job you will:

* Orchestrate cross-functional team members to deliver complete business solutions.
* Work closely with manufacturer field teams, to drive the strategy and delivery of new solutions, products and services.
* Identify and develop new business opportunities.
Bring 5+ years of sales experience selling IBM, Cisco, Netapp, EMC solutions in a value-added reseller (VAR), manufacturer or consulting environment. Proven/Quantifiable track record of over-achievement in at least 3 of the last 5 years.
Able to understand, articulate and position the value of a technology-based solution to the client.
Mastery in developing trusted client relationships up to C level.
Ability to match customer needs with state of the art technology solutions and vendors to deliver them.
Negotiation skills to craft solutions that bring value to our customers, vendors and the Company.
Confidence in applying business and financial expertise to identify, qualify and justify opportunities.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Track record of sales success and specific experience selling one or more of our major solutions
Technical knowledge base is preferred but not required; however, an aptitude for learning is essential
