This position is responsible for successful account coordination and project management, including proposals, renewals and RFP responses along with successful execution of sales/service agreements for assigned credit unions. The role provides high quality and proactive support of the Sales Partners for National Accounts, working closely with that role to understand the support and resources required to meet credit union needs.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Sales Partner with preparation of reports and compilation of data to proactively manage account relationship and performance
  • Establish a strong working relationship with credit union customers and staff, associates at business partner organizations, and sales account team members
  • Support the sales process, pipeline, and territory planning; ensure accuracy and completeness of Salesforce.com; coordinate the sales business escalation process, including exceptions
  • Drive account issue resolution as necessary and monitor satisfaction through proactive follow-up
  • Identify cross-sell opportunities within assigned accounts
  • Work closely with Sales Partner to ensure successful execution of sales agreements
  • Proactively identify opportunities for further product and service penetration of assigned credit unions
  • Assess and determine the need for a resource from the Customer Implementation team to execute a sales/service agreement
  • Foster teamwork and culture that accepts and responds rapidly to change and is action and results oriented
  • Maintains an understanding and relationship with organizations and associations that support the product and service needs of credit union customers
  • Build strong relationships at a strategic and tactical level with credit union CEOs and other credit union executives
  • Interpret financials and proactively identifies profitable solutions for both CUNA Mutual Group and the credit union customer

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Insurance or related field or an equivalent trade-off of related professional work experience
  • Minimum of five years successful sales and retentionexperience, preferably within the financial services industry
  • Demonstrated knowledge of CUNA Mutual Group products and services, with in-depth understanding of the customers, business, industry, and market preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, plan projects, and maintain deadlines with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to comprehend and follow complex processes, with aptitude for continuous improvement
  • Demonstrated effective communication, interpersonal, relationship building, problem-solving skills, and customer service skills
  • Demonstrated strong persuasive influencing skills with top levels of management
  • Demonstrated ability to continually modify working style to meet customer demands such as prioritizing and multi-tasking
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate computer technology into sales processes
  • Demonstrated strong collaboration and teamwork abilities
  • Life and Health Insurance and Property and Casualty insurance licenses (must possess or obtain within 90 days of starting in the position)
  • Ability and willingness to travel 20% of the time
