The Manager of TV Production Finance Technology is a key role in the TV Entertainment Technology team, which manages the technology strategy for NBCUniversal's TV Production Studios (UTV, UCP, and Wilshire Studios). The technology portfolio consists of custom- and vendor-supported products that support various finance and accounting groups.

The experienced Manager will play a pivotal role supporting the TV Productions functions (i.e. Controllership, Development Finance, Accounting, FP&A and Corporate Tax). This individual should have strong relationship management skills, along with excellent verbal and written communication, with deep expertise in working with financial systems.

Specific responsibilities include –

  • Manage business engagement across multiple Studios:
  • Directly support multiple business Salesforce Applications, large Teradata Datawarehouse, workflow tools, and analytics tools like MicroStrategy, PowerBI and Tableau).
  • Partner with business leaders to identify both short- and long-term technology needs in alignment with business goals.
  • Drive coordination with other internal IT Finance teams for team for systems and process collaboration and opportunities.
  • Manage product requirements, project resources, and release execution in alignment with business and product strategy
  • Identify, document, manage prioritization of enhancements for all supported applications.
  • Ensure successful execution of all platform projects and improvements.
  • Provide stable and robust environment for business-critical systems.
  • Manage all projects to budget, scope, and schedule.
  • Ensure full SOX and IT security compliance across all supported applications.
  • Facilitate delivery across all key stakeholders (i.e. business partners, infrastructure, and vendors); Closely manage communication and expectations across the different brands, functions, and Technology teams.


Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering or 5+ years of equivalent work experience;

5+ years' progressive experience with business analysis & requirements gathering, writing and managing use cases, creating functional requirements, and managing medium to large-scale projects to successful completion

4+ years' experience in a user-/client-facing role;

Strong Finance experience;

2+ years' experience supporting Salesforce platforms

2+ years' experience supporting a DW with Business Intelligence solutions such as Tableau, MicroStrategy, Power BI

Excellent verbal and written communication skills;

Demonstrated proficient use with Microsoft Visio or similar workflow visualization tools;

Demonstrated requirements analysis and delivery (i.e. conducting user interviews, documenting requirements, confirming requirements, and implementing solution);

Self-starter that shows initiative and ability to work independently with little supervision.

Desired Characteristics

Experience in US Media & Entertainment environment, specifically Programming, preferred;

Experience directly supporting Financial applications;

Experience with custom developed solutions;

Experience managing 3rd party team resources as well as an extended team of resources; ;

Experience in integration (ETL & Data) and Data Management Experience;

Demonstrated ability to work well with other team members;

Ability to manage through competing/conflicting requests and obtain consensus;

Ability to work in fast-paced, deadline-driven environment;

Enthusiasm for solving problems;

Collaborative team player who is accustomed to working within and across groups
