Established Fort Smith, Arkansas Manufacturer is seeking a 1st shift Production Manager to join their Management Team.

The Production Manager Responsibilities include:

  • Supervising and coordinating the activities of Supervisors and Production Employees in multiple departments. 
  • Ensuring daily that all Employees have the necessary tools to perform their jobs. 
  • Confirming all departments are communicating effectively 
  • Monitoring work flow daily
  • Coordinating any variations from the production schedules.

MUST Possess strong knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control,costs, and other techniques for effective manufacture and distribution of goods.

  • Aware of the principles and processes for providing customer service. Including meeting quality standards and evaluating customer satisfaction.
  • Capable of understanding complicated written instructions, memoranda, orders
  • Regular, skilled use of word processors and programs and able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Knowledge of production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the ability to find errors and correct them.
  • Some general knowledge of machines and tools, including their design, usage, repair, and maintenance.

 Requirements

Qualifications:

Education/ Experience:

  • BS Degree Required from an accredited 4 year (Landed) University or College (No Full on-line degrees)
  • Minimum 3 years of Production Management/Supervisory experience in a Manufacturing/Industrial environment 


Preferred:

  • Previous work experience in a “Lean” manufacturing environment.
