The Special Projects Division of Leidos has a career opening for an Application developer located in Bridgewater, VA.  

JOB SUMMARY: The Special Projects Division (SPD) has an immediate need for an Application Developer to support our programs through the creation of Integrated Data Environments (IDEs).  The job of the Application Developer is to assume the responsibility of  discovering, analyzing and documenting requirements of customers and team members and then bringing them to life through design, development, testing, and maintenance of web-based applications and databases.  Must be able to travel CONUS/OCONUS when needed.  

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: •Create and modify SharePoint sites using lists, sub-sites, libraries, web pages, content types, views, custom HTML or approved-JavaScript elements. •Provide technical support to end users. •Create documentation of activities, processes, and procedures. •Construct workflow charts and diagrams based on input from the team. •Recommend enhancements or improvements to systems by studying current workflows and designs and determining inefficiencies. •Manage project tasks by prioritizing workload, multitasking, and effectively interacting with a wide range of people (orally and in writing).  

Qualifications:

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

•Bachelor’s Degree and 4+ years of related experience. Additional years of experience may be used in lieu of a degree.

•Experience with the software development lifecycle, requirements, and system documentation practices.

•Strong verbal and written communication skills to clearly and effectively communicate with team members, management, and customers.

•Must have a positive attitude and maintain high standards for ethics and confidentiality.

•The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, able to multi-task, and complete tasks accurately and without direct supervision.

•Capable of preparing and presenting executive level briefings.

•Ability to leverage excellent problem solving, design, coding and debugging skills.

•Knowledge of Microsoft products: Office, Visio, Project, and SharePoint.

•Must have a Top Secret security clearance.

Travel:

•Must have a valid passport

•Must be able to meet all OCONUS requirements

PREFERREDQUALIFICATIONS:

•Technical degree (Engineering, Math, Computer Science, Information Systems, etc)

•Experience developing workflows and automation tools

•Experience with software development

•Experience with cybersecurity

•Database Development/Management experience

•Software Configuration Management (CM) experience

•Ability to travel CONUS/OCONUS when needed

•Active Top Secret/SCI Clearance
