The Director – Business Planning is responsible for leading and managing the overall coordination and alignment of key strategic projects impacting the global NEMA motor business.
Coordinate and align key strategic projects impacting the global NEMA motor business including motor configurator tools and salesforce.com.
Ensuring alignment of the strategies / projects, common goals, timelines and ultimately successful completion and implementation for various motor products,
Coordinate the development and implementation of the overall customer interface and front end experience.
Facilitate the development of the long term strategy and vision for customer interface tools, partnering with the various functional leaders and contributors to develop and implement these tools.
Act as the liaison between the business, the functional delivery and the customer’s actual experience and establish accountability for successful implementation.
Develop and prepare for delivery, periodic business updates, in an efficient manner, including the status of business performance, key functional projects and information, competitor performance and general and specific market conditions and their effect on the NEMA motor business.
Responsible for providing indirect leadership and influence for a dynamic group of project managers.
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Business AND 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
Master’s Degree in Engineering or Business AND 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
*A Master’s Degree in required field = Credit given for 2 years of work experience.
*A PhD/Doctorate in required field = Credit given for 3 years of work experience
10+ years of experience in motor manufacturing
Ability to balance strategic and tactical work
Guide management to certain decisions through strong influencing, communication and listening skills
Ability to build relationships and partnerships to collaboratively execute business strategies.
Customer focused along with an understanding of business, people and strategy
Strategic thinking, problem solving and analytical ability
