Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manages or oversees completion of quality audits and ensures appropriate corrective action is directed
  • Responsible for keeping Customer representatives apprised of on-going and long-term activities
  • Responsible for the administration of Company policies
  • Implements or directs the implementation of performance management tools by subordinate QA personnel
  • Acts as principal liaison between the assigned government Program Office/Quality Assurance Representative (PO/QAR) and the CAE USA Program Manager
  • Participates in and plans conferences with US Army and USAF customers.
  • Observes/evaluates instructor personnel in classroom and devices, as required.
  • Manages the site quality assurance program to ensure ISO compliance. 
  • Responsible for monthly submittals of data to meet CDRL requirements.
  • Provides technical support to maintenance supervision, employees, and sub-contractors
  • Attends necessary weekly, monthly, and quarterly meetings as required or directed by the Program Manager.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Bachelors’ degree or equivalent experience in Quality Assurance, Engineering, Business Management or a related discipline
  •  10 + years aircraft maintenance experience plus 5 + years aircraft maintenance supervision and management
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions and procedures manuals
  • Ability to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions
  • International Organization for Standard (ISO) and LeanSix Sigmaexperience
  • Familiarity with US Army fixed wing maintenance standards
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions and procedures manuals
  • Working knowledge of DA PAM 738-750, DA PAM 738-751, AR 95-20, and AR 750-1
  • Knowledge of ISO/AS9100 Quality, FAA 14CFR Part 145 and applicable federal and local laws, regulations and standards such as: FAA, DOS, DOD, ICAO, DOSI, OSHA, ISO, FAR, CAS, and ANSI
  • Working knowledge of FAA Regulations, FAA Orders, Advisory Circulars, Airworthiness Directives, and use of FAA requiredinspection data
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Word
  • Ability to effectively deliver oral presentations to management and customers
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to work overtime as required.
  • Ability to work any shift or day of the week as required.

Language Skills

Must have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex word and technical documents/diagrams.   Will be required to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries and complaints.  Must be able to generate effective oral and written presentations and proposals on complex subjects. 

Mathematical Skills

Must be able to calculate figures and amounts, prices, commissions, and percentages, and to draw and interpret graphs.

Reasoning Ability

Must be able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.  An ability to interpret complex customer requirements and attitudes from verbal, non-verbal, and written communication is essential.

FAA A&P License


Must comply with all company security and data protection / usage policies and procedures.  Personally responsible for proper marking and handling of all information and materials, in any form. Shall not divulge any information, or afford access, to other employees not having a need-to-know. Shall not divulge information outside company without management approval.  All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company provided resources.

  •  Incumbent must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance.

Work Environment

  • Work in a regular office environment; communicate via personal computer, telephone and fax.
  • Will be working in areas with risk of electrical shock from moving mechanical parts driven by hydraulics under high pressure.
  • Will at times be exposed to the following conditions: extreme heat, airborne particles, and loud noises.

  • Must be able to walk and/or climb stairs and ladder into a simulator or airplane cockpit.

  • Must be able to detect odors or hear noises, bangs, etc., or other sounds to detect problems or flaws in the surrounding environment.
  • Must be able to distinguish colors.
