WSP USA, a global planning, engineering and construction management firm, is looking for exceptional candidates for the position of Senior Civil Engineer in our Indianapolis office. These individuals must be able to guide and mentor junior engineering staff and collaborate with engineers and management. The position requires strong technical, organizational and interpersonal skills. The candidate must be an enthusiastic and motivated person to lead small to large sized projects and tasks, and serve as a key technical resource on all types of challenging transportation projects.
The selected candidate will be responsible for highway design tasks on medium to large scale highway and transportation projects. The design work will include geometric studies, report writing, preliminary engineering, final engineering, plan production, drainage design, construction staging, design and quantity calculations, estimates, and other related engineering duties.

You will work with a team of highly qualified engineers and technicians on these projects, and perform design engineering duties and tasks. The projects’ studies, plans, and other engineering documents will be developed by using Microstation, In-Roads, and other engineering software. Working in a strong team environment will help keep your career on the right path and provide you with multiple professional opportunities.
Strong technical skills leading civil and highway design tasks as well as providing constructability assessment and quality reviews for various transportation projects.
Familiarity of INDOT’s Highway Design, AASHTO, and MUTCD manuals for use in the design of horizontal and vertical geometry calculations, maintenance and protection of traffic staging plans, intersection improvements and drainage systems.
Experience in the development of design plans, specifications and construction cost estimates for contract packages.
Working knowledge in AutoCAD preferred; Microstation and InRoads experience required.
Strong written and oral communication skills to aid in coordination with clients, utility companies and municipal and state agencies.
Candidates should possess a minimum of 5 years of experience, which should include background in the design of complex transportation related facilities with emphasis in highway and roadway design
Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering
IN PE License or with the ability to obtain a IN PE License within 1 year.
Ability to work in this country immediately
Local candidates preferred.
