Description

We have career opportunities in our Sales Group located in New York, NY for a Senior Account Executive. In this position, you will build Sales relationships by prospecting for new clients, and nurturing existing customer relationships. You will coordinate between Clients and various internal teams to ensure a productive and smooth Client experience. The Senior Account Executive role requires a motivated hunter, who has outstanding sales and relational skills.

The Senior Account Executive reports to the Regional Vice President, Sales.

Responsibilities

  • Provides quality internal and external customer service surrounding the Company values.
  • Direct responsibility for the identification, contact, qualification and development of viable new accounts.
  • Manage the prospecting plan development and execution for new accounts at a very high level.
  • Manage the communication and internal coordination of TierPoint salessupport.
  • Accurate and timely forecasting.
  • Manage the on-going need to understand inter-related technologies that exist and keep current on new options as the business technologies expand and change.
  • Responsible for the development, execution, and delivery of quality solution focused client presentations at a “C” level.
  • Find, train and develop indirect saleschannels.
  • Manage the prospecting plan development and execution for new accounts at a very high level.
  • Responsible for the development, execution, and delivery of quality solution focused client presentations at a C level.
  • Within existing TierPoint accounts, direct responsibility for the identification, contact, qualification and development of viable new opportunities for services that aren’t being used today.
  • Manage assigned customer relationships to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction, a strong inclination toward contract renewal, and the enhancement of the TierPoint relationship with that customer through the sale of additional services.
  • Manage the communication and internal coordination of TierPoint salessupportinfrastructure: salessupport, operations, and executive team to insure customer satisfaction.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • College Degree.
  • Must possess extraordinary drive to pursue opportunities both within the target client as well as to marshal the necessary resources within TierPoint to ensure strong solution creation and implementation of the strategy once accepted.
  • Candidates must possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Many of the sales activities are limited to these forms of communication and proficiency at a high level is mandatory.
  • Exceptional presentation skills are mandatory. The ability to present to a large audience of C level decision makers persuasively and with ease is mandatory.
  • Proven talent for making effective cold calls to target companies highly preferred.
  • Proven expertise to develop relationships from a cold call or networking activity highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with next generation service providers, OTTs, carriers, and large enterprises.
  • Ability to devise a go to market plan for the targeted customer base.
  • Proven ability to listen, extrapolate information and leverage resources to effectively provide solutions to customer needs.
  • Ability to effectively learn technical products, services and solutions and readily apply new knowledge required.
  • Minimum of 10 to 15years of successful salesexperience within a large technical account environment: previous proven expertise in managed services, data center services, Cloud-IaaS, consulting and hardware/software solutions.
  • A Driven, Positive, Upbeat Attitude.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multiple departments across the organization.
  • Familiarity and commitment to daily activity tracking in corporate CRM tool.
  • Any background with advanced sales training systems is advantageous.
