Job Introduction

Co-Ex-Tec, a division of Magna Closures, is hiring a Maintenance Millwright for our Concordlocation to ensure the continuous operation of all plant equipment and machinery. If you have a validIndustrial Mechanic Millwright License (Red Sealpreferred) and are a results-driven and hands-on individual, we invite you to join our team.

Major Responsibilities

1.Repair, overhaul and maintain, hydraulics, pneumatics and production machines – conveyors, Rolling Mills, packaging equipment, extrusion, and DC controls.
2.Punch press experience an asset
3.Able and responsible for modifying existing automation control systems in Robotic environments
4.Provide technical guidance on machine set ups, authors or has input to creating
5.Prepare and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s).
6.Set-up and commissioning of new and used equipment.
7.Ongoing preventive maintenance on all machinery, may be required to requisition parts, materials where required.
8.Work in development of capacity and Continuous Process Improvement.
9.Fabricate parts, as necessary, utilizing shop equipment.
10.Ensure all machines and equipment are in safe working condition, taking appropriate precautions to prevent risk to employees and to the product.
11.Follow all Health and Safety regulations in all steps, and especially in the lockout/ tagout of equipment.
12.Initiate and complete continuous improvement opportunities.
13.Complete maintenance activities and reports daily.
14.Ensure compliance to QMS (TS16949), EMS (ISO14001), and security (PIP) requirements.
15.Ensure, with the cooperation of other Co-Ex-Tec departments and Corporate that the division achieves and maintains the highest possible Customer rating for satisfaction; strive for zero defects in all areas of the business.
16.Ensure enforcement of Customer Specific Requirements and Quality Management System (TS16949) without compromising either Co-Ex-Tec or its Customers.
17.Attend authorized training in order to develop and/or maintain relevant job-related knowledge, techniques, skills and/or certification
18.May be required to carry out job duties and responsibilities in a work environment that may include, but is not limited to, varying levels of noise and/or temperature.
19.Able to use machine cutting tools, preferably including lathe and milling machine
20.Ability to work well independently

Knowledge and Education

•Must have a valid Industrial Mechanic Millwright- Red Seal License
•Minimum of 5 years of injection moulding process and equipment (large tonnage Engel preferred)
•Strong understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical schematics
•Machine maintenance experience in a manufacturing plant: 5 years
•Good knowledge of machine shop practices and welding experience.
•Worked in an automotive/extrusion environment
•Able to read any circuit diagram and correlate to actual work piece
•Strong troubleshooting skills with an innovative approach to solving mechanical and hydraulic problems
•Must be self-motivated with strong command of verbal and written skills.
•Eager to learn and to train others.
•Design, fabrication and commissioning of automated equipment, sound understanding of robotics (ABB preferable)
•Sound computer skills, including knowledge of software in current use
•Understanding of lean manufacturing, an asset
