As the Manager of Food Services at one of our Healthcare accounts, you will be responsible for the successful coordination and direction of all daily activities related to retail food service within a very fast paced and challenging account. You will ensure that all employees comply with all client, government, corporate, and regional policies and procedures while driving a culture of safety. You will establish and maintain a solid and mutually beneficial business relationship including: high levels of client and customer satisfaction and account retention; strong employee relations; achievement of financial goals; and future business growth plans. 


Growth and Development:

  • University degree or Post-Secondary education in Business or Hospitality Management, and/or equivalent experience

  • Must have Active CSNM membership

  • Must have 5 years supervisory experience in healthcare food and nutrition services

  • 2-5  years’ experience / operational experience at a Manager level in a food service environment, Brand experience a strong asset

  • Strong Leadership, team member

  • Extensive experience in the direction of multi skilled/ semi-skilled workforce within a unionized environment

  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills

  • Proficiency in the problem solving area related to budget restrictions and Unionized staffing issues

  • Vendor and third party contract management experience

  • Effective oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to analyze and interpret financial data as it relates to menu and food costing

  • Effective planning, organizing and time management skills

  • Excellent computer skills (MS Office)

  • Experience in a busy fast food environment

  • Demonstrated experience in managing and leading a diverse team

  • Desire to exceed customer expectation

  • Experience creating and following an established budget

  • Strong ability to manage and promote a safe work environment

  • Ability to anticipate and solve problems 

  • Ability to analyze financial data/ cost control management

  • Must be familiar with RAI MDS,

  • Must have experience with MOHLTC

  • Experience in organizing, planning of caterings
