Leidos has a current job opportunity for a Technical/Quality Installation Oversight Lead for Electronic Security Systems. This position can be based out of any CONUS location but requires heavy travel in Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas and Arkansas.
Substation Oversight Lead will be responsible for oversight of 3rd party installation contractor for quality installation of high security locking hardware at electrical power substations and compliance with the Entergy high security requirements. Entergy substation high security requirements include installation of high security locks, hardware, and window security convers at electrical substations control houses in Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas, and Arkansas.
Oversight Lead will be responsible for onsite oversight of hardware installation vendor teams to assure uniform quality of work. Oversight lead will rotate and oversee different teams weekly. Responsibilities will include the following:
-Assessment of installation sequence and methodology to determine lessons learned and best approach,
-Communication of lessons learned and best approach to assure uniform installation quality while minimizing time needed.
-Tracking installed hardware by type and quantities for each substation and maintaining material requisition database.
-Assess doors not meeting basic security requirements and review installation vendor’s Request for Contract Changes to replace deficient doors.
-Submit daily status and progress reports with photographs (develop reporting template).
-Analyze vendor’s performance to determine work completed performance matrices and estimate average durations needed for upcoming installation work at substations.
-Participation in daily safety briefings, and coordination with installation vendor and project manager upcoming schedule and locations.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Technical and practical knowledge of the following:
• No individual working on this project can have a felony conviction with the sentence for the crime ending in the past 7 years.
• Ability to pass Personnel Risk Assessment and Entergy background investigation check and CIP training
• Bachelor’s degree with 4 years or HS with 10 years’ experience
• US citizenship
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word
Practical knowledge of the following:
• Quality control/inspectionexperience
• Basic knowledge of Physical Access Control process and door locking hardware
