Summary:

We are seeking an analytical, process/detail-oriented Business Analyst who can partner effectively with partnerships leadership. The role will be part of the Sales Planning & Operations team with a focus on US region. The Business Analyst will work cross-functionally with several teams at Facebook (including sales, operations, business operations and business intelligence), with the objective of enabling US Sales Ops region to make effective, analytically driven, and strategic operating decisions. This is an individual contributor role that requires a deep understanding of the internet/tech and media ecosystem, exceptional analytical skills, bias toward action, strong partner and communication skills, and a background in data-driven decision-making. The candidate will have an analytical background and experience in managing data pipelines and dashboards, ability to synthesize and make recommendations based on imperfect data from multiple sources (internally and externally), strong business intuition to guide their analysis, and ability to work both independently and cross-functionally (partnerships, sales, finance, product marketing, product engineering, and business intelligence/IT). The ideal candidate will be passionate about Facebook, view the world through an analytical lens, be interested in advertising, be intellectually curious, learn quickly, and be able to move fast while keeping focused on high-impact projects. This is a full-time position and is located in our Menlo Park, California office.

Required Skills:

  1. Product and revenue performance analysis:

  2. Understand and highlight daily/weekly/quarterly revenue trends

  3. Lead analysis on product performance and adoption to drive insights

  4. Develop a deep understanding of existing business using data to build insights about our advertisers, products and competitors

  5. Ability to synthesize impact on financials/economics on our business and provide business analytic strength to help drive initiatives critical to ongoing growth

  6. Operational Efficiency/Automation:

  7. Develop and maintain standard existing in-quarter reporting

  8. Project manage improvements to drive higher efficiencies in day to day operations using a data-driven approach

  9. Maintain and update reports/dashboards with new revenue, product goals as well as creating new views or dashboards as the business matures

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. BA/BS in Engineering, Business or related field

  2. 4+ years of work experience in Sales Finance, Sales Analytics, Sales Operations, and/or Strategy consulting, or 2+ years with MBA/Master’s degree

  3. 2+ years of statistical experience (creating attribution models, A/B tests or lift analysis)

  4. Demonstrated problem solving ability with experience providing business insights and recommendations from data sets

  5. Demonstrated ability to present technical content to general audiences

  6. 2+ years of experience in SQL (creating and updating queries)

  7. Excel and Tableau skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. MBA or graduate degree in an analytical field

  2. Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and drive initiatives in a cross-functional environment

  3. Prior experience with online advertising

  4. Experience working with or in support of diverse communities
