The Western Regional Sales Manager - Industrial Building Materials, is responsible for increasing revenue and profitability for Touch ‘n Seal insulation, sealant and adhesive products in the states of California, Nevada, Washington, Oregon, Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, Utah, Wyoming, Idaho, Montana, Alaska and Hawaii.  The territory also includes Western Canada (BC, Alberta, Sask., Manitoba Provinces)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Increase net sales and profit margin by growing business at new and existing accounts, introducing new products, and expanding sales into related channels of distribution.

  • Provide guidance and support and evaluate effectiveness of regional independent sales representatives (Mfr. reps)

  • Negotiate and execute sales agreements with key accounts

  • Resolve commercial and technical issues, utilizing DAP Products resources as needed

  • Communicate key issues, account information, new opportunities, and competitive activity to the IBM sales team, management, and other relevant functions.

  • Identify and communicate to sales and marketing management potential new markets, products, and saleschannels

  • Provide sales, technical, and market training for distributor sales teams and independent sales representatives

  • Support national and regional trade shows and conferences

Qualifications Required:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience successfully selling industrial or building products, preferably insulation and sealants, through distributionchannels

  • Willingness and ability to travel at least 60%

  • Ability to impact, communicate, and negotiate effectively with key decision makers inside the company and accounts

  • Flexibility to adapt to changes in internal and external environments

  • A solid sense of personal commitment and accountability to deliver results

  • Ability to work in a team to achieve common goals

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel to analyze results and prepare reports

  • Bachelordegree in a related field (technical, business, communications) or equivalent work experience

Preferred

  • Salesexperience with polyurethane foam products, insulation materials, caulks and sealants is a plus.

  • A working understanding of building codes, the principles of building science, and sustainable building practices
