The following are the responsibilities and duties of the New Business & Marketing Director. This is not an all-inclusive list and will vary according to company needs.   Scope of Work New Business &MarketingDirectoris in charge of attracting new clients for OMG and establishing a clear positioning and differentiation each of OMG brands across the region. Specifically the role for this position includes: 

  • Establish clear objectives & priorities for the generation of new business by brand at the regional level guiding local markets to set their local goals.
  • Create business relationships with potential regional clients in a way that OMG is always in their minds as one of the best options to work with.
  • Build a clear marketing strategy to positioning OMG and its brands across the region developing specific actions to execute the strategy:
    • Identify vehicles of communication
    • Give direction to the use of PR as a key vehicle to generate awareness for OMG brands and products in the region.
    • Develop necessary marketing materials (credentials, creativity reel, etc).
    • Develop strong relationships with key opinion leaders and sources of information about the industry such as Recma, IAA and pan-regional media.
    • Find relevant information that can generate buzz in the industry (i.e news about local activities, employees, prizes, festivals, etc).
  • Establish mechanisms to communicate to potential regional clients that OMG has a unique & winning business proposition for them
  • Management and coordination of regional / global pitch processes from start to finish (announcement of selected agency):
    • Act as a key liaison between OMG Latam and global teams also will be the main contact point for the client / consultants during the pitch process.
    • Support the development of the overall strategy that OMG Latam should follow to win the pitch.
    • Establish the team at OMG Latam that will develop the assignment requested by client giving constant direction to them about the management of the process.
    • Build a marketing strategy for each process and recommend actions / materials that should be taken to execute it. 
  • Give support to OMG global teams in their global pitch initiatives or presentations to potential clients.
  • Strengthen the New Business community in the region
  • Promote best practice sharing across the region in terms of ways to approach / handle a new business opportunity and in terms of marketing materials. (Keep track of the best work that it is developed in the region.
  • Support key local new business activities when necessary (i.e. relevant local clients, regional client that it is in a media review locally).
