Description The District Sales Manager (DSM) is responsible for managing the activities and performance of a specialty sales team, which includes the compliant promotion of Nucynta, Gralise, Cambia and Zipsor within an assigned geographic region. The DSM is responsible for the District meeting and/or exceeding sales targets and market share.
•Demonstrates clear and thorough understanding of the CNS and Pain marketplace; relevant competitive products and the disease area
•Demonstrates a working knowledge of how to shape their business strategically and sets the model for the execution with the District while operating within an assigned budget
•Demonstrates strong leadership skills, which includes an ability to pull-through the Company vision, create team culture, manage Specialist performance, develop and motivate people and teams
•Demonstrates core product's clinical attributes, forge valuable customer relationships and achieve sales quota
•Explore and develop new relationships and effectively maintain existing relationships with key contacts and KOL’s across the customer base
•Actively facilitates the growth and development of team members based on their needs, motivation and business requirements
•Works collaboratively by serving as a resource and by leveraging the expertise of others
•Recruits, selects and develops individuals with the talent necessary to achieve competitive superiority in the market.
•Serve as a role model for best-in-class Compliance and hold the District accountable for Compliance by ensuring all practices within the District are compliant with the Depomed Code of Conduct, PhRMA Code, OIG Guidelines, PDMA Policies and Procedures and all other applicable laws, regulations, policies & procedures.
•Bachelor’s degree (Majors preferred – Sciences, Business, Healthcare Fields
•Minimum of 5 years of previous specialty Pharma sales, biotech sales or medical device sales, including strong results-oriented technical sales experience. Experience preferred in the areas of CNS and Pain Management.
•Experience building and leading high performance teams.
•Large account management experience is highly preferred along with the ability to create and execute strategic business plans
•Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, and database applications.
•Ability to travel (may include overnight travel).
•Should reside in territory geography or be willing to relocate.
•Valid Driver's License and an acceptable driving record.
•Authorization and ability to drive a Company leased vehicle or authorized rental vehicle.
•Ability to operate a motor vehicle

•Ability to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal.
