Job Description Summary

The Area Director (AD) will beresponsible for meeting revenue expectations by directly managing a geography basedsales team that works with existing clients and prospects. AD’s will focus on developing and coaching new and current Curvaturesales talent. They will serve as the primary regional management representative for Curvature and are expected to establish and develop senior management and executive level contacts with key clients and prospects, as well as local and regional Curvature partners. Additionally, AD’s will beresponsible for understanding client needs and articulate suggestions to the Curvature executive teams in order to improve the overall clientexperience.

Job Description

The Area Director (AD) will be responsible for meeting revenue expectations by directly managing a geography based sales team that works with existing clients and prospects.  AD’s will focus on developing  and coaching new and current Curvature sales talent.  They will serve as the primary regional management  representative for Curvature and are expected to establish and develop senior management and executive level contacts with key clients and prospects,  as well as local and regional Curvature partners.  Additionally, AD’s will be responsible for understanding client needs and articulate suggestions to the Curvature executive teams in order to improve the overall client experience.
 

Essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to:
1. Revenue Attainment

  • Existing client maintenance & growth
  • New logo sales
  • Product & Service mix

2. Deal Execution

  • Resource support-“First line of defense” on product support & pricing
  • Margin sensitivity
  • Resource management
    • Feedback to Sales Support/Storage/IBM teams on critical needs
    • Work with Contracts team & Field Engineers
  • Cross Area Communication

3. Client/Territory Development

  • Territory plan
  • Establish executive relationships
  • Account plans
  • Partner/Channel development
  • Client references

4. Team Development

  • Training

Area calls with different platforms/planning

  • Joint Calls/Meetings
  • Recruitment

5. Reporting

  • KPI management
  • Pipeline/Forecast

6. Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 8 - 12+ years of product marketing experience and/or sales with at least 5 years in a field facing sales role
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or marketing (MBA preferred)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Networking Industry/Hi-tech experiencepreferred
  • Channel Marketingexperience
