Job Description

CACI Enterprise IT Operations has an opportunity for an AVMM Engineer to support the performance of a large and complex IT enterprise program.
Duties and Responsibilities:
As a program AVMM Engineer you will be working as directed by the AVMM Lead with some of your duties outlined below:
-Under supervision and with guidance, you will evaluate, design, document, install, implement, test, and perform problem isolation and resolution, monitor, tune, and set standards for AVMM and related networks.
-Perform these functions across a limited range of network facilities including some, but not all, physical media, protocol stacks, hubs, routers, bridges, gateways, digital servers, line drivers, telecommunications transport facilities, mainframe VTAM, NCP and related software and hardware, and network management components.
-Maintain a complex range of AVMM and computer network components and systems.
-Work on integration of a total AVMM network including the planning, design, installation, maintenance, management, and coordination of the AVMM network.
-Perform general network administration tasks as required.
-Monitor, tune, and support basic existing AVMM network infrastructure and ensure stable, reliable, secure, and efficient AVMM network operations.
-Work with other network professionals as directed or as needed to coordinate efforts, resolve cross-team issues and communicate changes.
-Identify, assess, and develop detailed requirements for upgrading AVMM networks as well as re-architecting network segments in order to facilitate new requirements, technologies and growth.
-Provide client consulting and training on the interfacing and use of the AVMM network facilities.
-Analyze current products and recommends changes/upgrades to senior management.
-Assembles and updates documentation in the form of problem and change management tickets.
-Collaborate with other technical staff and management in the testing of new software and network technologies.
-Maintain timely and complete documentation of all daily and project work, using standard methods and procedures.
-Devise solutions to complex operational problems within the capacity and operational limitations of installed equipment.
-Keep abreast of relevant technologies and maintain selected technical certifications.
-Help to evaluate vendor products to make recommendations for purchase.
-Follow technical standards set by senior level engineers.
-Communicate effectively with a wide variety of technical and non-technical audiences, including customers, vendors, team partners, and other staff members.

Education and Experience:
-Typically requires Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related discipline and 0 to 2 years of experience.
- IT ticket management system experience; preferably with ServiceNow.
- Experience with large scale enterprise IT contracts.
Desired Qualifications:
- CompTIA Security + certified
- ServiceNow certification
- Crestron/Extron certifications
- Experience with IT customers within the Department of Defense
Physical Demands:
Normal demands associated with an office environment. Ability to work on computer for long periods, and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face to face. Some travel may be required.
