Risk is present in all of Regions’ activities and effective Risk Management is a critical component of the Bank’s success. Through application of the Bank’s Risk Framework and the continuous identification and assessment of risk, the Business RiskSupport team seeks to ensure that all of our businesses operate inside of clearly established limits, are able to proactively quantify exposures, and take corrective action when required. As a member of the Debt Products Organization within the first line of defense, you’ll be part of a diverse team of talented professionals who interact with senior business managers and other Bank disciplines in order to understand business operations and dynamics, and analyze, monitor, and manage related risks. At Regions, the Operational Risk Analyst develops systems to control and monitor assets in terms of operational risk.
•Evaluates alternative means of reducing the firm's exposure to catastrophic loss in the development and maintenance of the DPO’s Business Continuity plan
•Measures risk and sets operational risk management policies (i.e., value at risk model for day-to-day exposure)
•Implements riskvaluation models
•Informs traders and other specialists on local and global risk exposure
•Improves products or services using best practices and acquired knowledge of internal or external business issues
•Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience
•May direct the work of other staff members
•Understand key departmental dependicies
•Works closely with risk and process owners to identify key operational risk indicators in their specific business unit, driving the Risk Control Self-Assessment process
•Assist in managing and monitoring the SOX controls for the Corporate Bank
•Assist in managing the Third-party vendors for the Corporate Bank
•Considers and suggests methods to improve the risk and control framework
This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
•Seven (7) years' experience
