Summary of Position

This is an exciting opportunity to Develop, Lead and Manage both groups and programs regarding new product manufacturing processes and preventative maintenance that will be used Globally as best practice. The reason for this need and focus is due to steady and consistent growth across all divisions of this client. This highly visible role has the ability to influence, guide and review internal, division and global program controls.



  • Manages directly and/or indirectly the activities of manufacturing engineers and Process Technicians.
  • Plans, organizes and sets goals for the manufacturing engineering function to best utilize personnel.
  • Sets overall group goals and priorities and evaluates subordinate's performance based on those goals/priorities.
  • Coach the professional and personal development of employees by providing performance feedback, establishing clear requirements and building productive working relationships.
  • Implement/ Manage with Manufacturing Value Streams an efficient TPM Program to sustain targeted equipment OEE.
  • Ensure the required preventative maintenance, calibration and testing is scheduled and performed on all facility and environmentally related equipment in compliance with procedures and requirements.
  • Develop/ Maintain relevant KPI for Facilities and report progress and plans in front of the Operations Leadership Team. 
  • Responsible for manufacturing engineers complying with company policies and corrective actions.
  • May assist subcontractors in resolving manufacturing and quality related issues.
  • May assist customers in resolving product issues and may have personal contact with customers.
  • Will train others on manufacturing systems and procedures.

·        Will submit periodic reports on areas of responsibility.


  • Education: B.S. in mechanicalengineeringtechnology or a related curriculum. (Mechanical, electrical, or industrial)
  • 7+ years of diverse Facility Management and/or Engineering operations experience, preferably in a medical device manufacturing environment.
  • 3+ years experience managing and leading people
  • Demonstrated understanding and experience of facilities management, equipment repair/ preventive maintenance programs as well as TPM program implementation.
  • Demonstrated capital expenditure and project management experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to justify, procure and implement major capital equipment programs.
  • Demonstrated maintenance and support of controlled environment.
  • Demonstrated mechanical and/or electrical problem solving skills.
  • Demonstrated outstanding organizational, industry, and technical knowledge.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead/facilitate problem solving and cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop detailed process plans using applicable tools (PFMEA, Fault Tree Analysis, and Safety and Efficacy reviews).
  • Demonstrated ability to implement qualified processes using applicable systems (Process Validation, Process Planning Tools, Design of experiments, Manufacturing Assembly Procedures).
  • Demonstrated ability to apply Design for Manufacturability concepts.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, track and facilitate projects using applicable tools (Gantt and Pert Charts etc.).
